8-Day Rafting, Rhinos, Gorillas & Wildlife Safari in Uganda

Upon your arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide. After refreshments at a nearby hotel or café, begin your scenic drive through Kampala to the vibrant city of Jinja, Uganda's adventure capital.

Rise early for breakfast before joining a guided group for an exhilarating full-day white-water rafting experience on the mighty River Nile. Challenge yourself on some of the world's most exciting rapids while enjoying spectacular scenery and professional safety support throughout the adventure. After rafting, transfer back to Kampala for an overnight stay and prepare for the next leg of your safari.

After breakfast, depart for Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can track wild rhinos on foot. Enjoy an exciting guided rhino tracking experience before lunch. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda's largest and oldest conservation area, renowned for its diverse wildlife and dramatic landscapes.

After breakfast, set out on an exciting morning game drive across the northern sector of Murchison Falls National Park. Look out for giraffes, elephants, lions, Uganda kobs, hartebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, and numerous bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch before embarking on an unforgettable afternoon boat cruise along the Victoria Nile.

Observe hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, kingfishers, herons, and other aquatic wildlife along the riverbanks. Disembark near the base of the falls and enjoy a guided hike to the Top of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through an 8-metre-wide gorge before plunging 43 metres below.

After breakfast, journey south through the scenic landscapes of western Uganda toward Queen Elizabeth National Park. Travel via Hoima and Fort Portal, passing through the picturesque Albertine Rift Valley, rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages.

Marvel at views of the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon." Arrive in the evening and settle into your lodge.

After breakfast, head to Kalinzu Forest Reserve for an exciting chimpanzee tracking experience. Accompanied by expert guides, search for habituated chimpanzees while learning about the rich biodiversity of the forest. Later, continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the famous Ishasha Sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its rare tree-climbing lions. Keep your camera ready for sightings of elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and various antelope species.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking experience. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to nearly half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas. The trek may take between 2 and 6 hours, depending on the gorillas' movements. Once located, you'll spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat. After the trek, enjoy lunch before continuing to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, one of Africa's deepest and most scenic lakes.

You may opt to visit local communities and shop for handmade crafts and souvenirs.

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe, depending on your onward travel plans. Enjoy lunch en route in Mbarara or Masaka and take in the final views of Uganda's stunning countryside.
