7 Days Kenya Wildlife Group Safari – Mara, Nakuru & Amboseli

Your safari begins as the  team picks you up from your Nairobi hotel for a short briefing about your adventure ahead. Youll then depart in a comfortable 4x4 Land Cruiser Jeep towards the northern wilderness of Samburu National Reserve. The scenic drive takes you through Kenyas stunning highlands and semi-arid landscapes. Upon arrival, check in at Samburu Sopa Lodge and enjoy lunch before heading out for your first evening game drive. Look out for the Samburu Special Five — the reticulated giraffe, Grevys zebra, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk — species rarely found elsewhere in Kenya. Wake up to the sound of birds and embark on a full-day game drive across Samburus rugged beauty. The Ewaso Nyiro River, the parks lifeline, attracts a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, and crocodiles basking on the riverbanks. Your experienced guide will help you spot elusive cats and explain the fascinating adaptations of animals to this dry region. After breakfast, depart Samburu and drive to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy, one of East Africas most successful wildlife conservancies. This private sanctuary is home to the largest black rhino population in East Africa and the worlds last two remaining northern white rhinos. Arrive in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Serena Camp, then enjoy an afternoon game drive to explore the conservancys diverse habitats. You may also visit the chimpanzee sanctuary managed by the Jane Goodall Institute. Dinner and overnight at Sweetwaters Serena Camp.

Enjoy an early morning drive through the conservancy before heading south towards Lake Nakuru National Park. The scenic journey passes through the Great Rift Valley, with stunning viewpoints along the way. After lunch at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge, set out for an afternoon game drive around the lake. Nakuru is famous for its large flocks of pink flamingos, pelicans, and over 400 bird species. Its also a sanctuary for endangered white and black rhinos, tree-climbing lions, and Rothschilds giraffes. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge.

After breakfast, drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch at Amboseli Sopa Lodge. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the park, set against the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africas highest peak. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants, graceful giraffes, and diverse birdlife. As the sun sets behind Kilimanjaro, capture stunning photos before returning to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.

Spend a full day exploring Amboselis open plains and marshlands. Watch elephants roam freely in the shadows of Kilimanjaro and spot lions, cheetahs, buffalo, and hippos along the swamps. Youll also have the option to experience an unforgettable hot air balloon safari at dawn (available at an extra cost), offering a breathtaking aerial view of the park. In the evening, enjoy a cultural visit to a local Maasai village (optional) to learn about their traditions and way of life. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Sopa Lodge.
