День 1. Welcome to Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve!
Your Amazon adventure begins in Lago Agrio with a transfer to Tierras Orientales on the banks of the Aguarico River, where a tasty box lunch awaits. From there, a motor canoe takes you on a breathtaking journey through the waterways, with chances to spot pink river dolphins and learn about the rainforest’s unique ecosystems, before reaching your lodge deep inside the Cuyabeno Reserve. After settling in and enjoying dinner, your guide will introduce the upcoming activities and lead an exciting night walk to uncover the hidden world of the jungle, where insects, frogs, spiders, and tree-dwelling snakes come to life.

День 2. Parrot Clay Lick and Ceibo Tree Observation Tower
Set out on a remarkable adventure deep into the Ecuadorian Amazon, where the Cuyabeno and Zábalo Rivers reveal a world of pink dolphins, blackwater lagoons, and an astonishing variety of wildlife. Along the way, you will be guided by the Cofán people, whose traditions and knowledge bring the rainforest to life. Visit the Charapas Turtle Conservation Project, learn about the balance between nature and culture, and discover the Zábalo River, honored as the world’s first Wilderness Quiet Park, a pristine sanctuary where silence protects the harmony of the jungle and every moment feels like a step into untouched paradise.

День 3. Visiting Zabalo Community and the Charapas Turtle
Start your day at sunrise with a canoe journey along the Cuyabeno River, gliding through blackwater lagoons and spotting playful freshwater dolphins before reaching the Cofán community of Zábalo. Explore ancestral gardens and forest trails, discover the secrets of medicinal plants, and visit the nationally acclaimed Charapas Turtle Conservation Project, where over 100,000 turtles have been released and, in season, you may even help set them free. After a riverside lunch, sail back to the lodge to enjoy a refreshing cocktail, relax in the heart of the Amazon, and end the day with dinner and an optional evening adventure.

День 4. Blackwater Igapo Forest and Ceibo Lagoon
Experience the Amazon at its most magical, starting with a sunrise paddle through tranquil lagoons alive with birds and mammals. After breakfast, set out on a guided trek to uncover the secrets of Cuyabeno’s plants, forests, and geology, then glide through the mystical Igapó forest at sunset, where giant trees rise from the flooded waters. As night falls, venture out again to spot caimans, boas, and other nocturnal creatures that bring the rainforest to life.

День 5. Farewell to Cuyabeno
On your final morning in the Amazon, greet the day with a serene forest walk or canoe ride, soaking in the last sights and sounds of exotic birds and pristine nature. After an early breakfast, we begin our journey back, cruising along the Cuyabeno and Aguarico Rivers before reaching Tierras Orientales, where private transport awaits to take us to Lago Agrio. By early afternoon, you’ll be ready to continue to Quito, carrying unforgettable memories of this extraordinary adventure.

To be able to make this trip you need to be in good physical condition, so you can enjoy hiking for 2 to 3 hours approximately in a tropical climate, however, you can skip the walks (and in general any activity) and participate only in canoe trips if you want a more relaxed stay.
