День 1. Arrival in Cuyabeno & Night Walk
Your journey begins in Lago Agrio, where private transport takes you to Tierras Orientales on the Aguarico River. After a box lunch, board a motor canoe for a scenic three-hour ride through lush rainforest, watching for pink river dolphins, monkeys, and colorful birds. Upon arrival at the lodge, settle in before dinner. In the evening, take a guided night walk to spot frogs, spiders, snakes, and other fascinating nocturnal creatures.

День 2. Sunrise Canoe Ride & Igapó Forest
Rise early for a peaceful paddle canoe excursion, enjoying the magical sunrise and abundant birdlife. After breakfast, join your guide for a walk through the pristine forest to learn about the ancestral uses of medicinal plants. Following lunch and rest, explore the Ceibo Lagoon and the mysterious flooded Igapó forest by canoe. At night, embark on an exciting search for caimans, bats, and boas under the jungle stars.

День 3. Parrot Clay Lick, La Bocana & Ceibo Tree Tower
Before dawn, travel by canoe to a nutrient-rich clay lick where flocks of parrots and parakeets gather in a dazzling display of color and sound. Continue to La Bocana, where the black waters of the Cuyabeno River meet the white waters of the Aguarico, often a hotspot for dolphin sightings. In the afternoon, climb the 28-meter-high Ceibo Tree Observation Tower for panoramic rainforest views. After dinner, enjoy a short night walk near the tower.

День 4. San Francisco River & Terra Firme Hike
After breakfast, navigate upstream to the San Francisco River, a hidden whitewater tributary rich in wildlife. Enjoy a box lunch before hiking along a “Terra Firme” trail, where your guide explains the ecosystem and helps spot unique species. Return to the lodge for rest, and later review your wildlife checklist with your naturalist guide, sharing the highlights of your Amazon adventure.

День 5. Farewell to Cuyabeno
Begin the day with a final short forest or canoe excursion, soaking up the tranquil sounds of the awakening Amazon. After an early breakfast, prepare for your return journey. Travel downstream on the Cuyabeno River and upstream on the Aguarico before heading by land transport to Lago Agrio, where your Amazon adventure concludes around midday.

To be able to make this trip you need to be in good physical condition, so you can enjoy hiking for 2 to 3 hours approximately in a tropical climate, however, you can skip the walks (and in general any activity) and participate only in canoe trips if you want a more relaxed stay.
